You can add authors by entering their names in the author input box and selecting the appropriate author.

Authors are not only identified by their names but also by the news source for which they write. This means that if there is an Adam Smith that writes for TechCrunch as well as an Adam Smith that writes for New York Times, you have to select the correct one in the suggested list of authors.
