Search filter for articles: source ranking
Since there is often a lot of content written that matches your criteria, it is common that you would want to find only content from highly ranked news sources.
One option to create such a filter is to manually specify the list of sources to consider - this is highly tedious and only possible if you have only a handful of sources that you want to consider.
A better option is to use the rank filtering, displayed below. In this case, you can move the slider in order to retrieve only content from the top X% ranked news sources. All sources in Event Registry have their corresponding Alexa site ranking, which indicates how many page views does a news source have per month and this information is used to rank the news sources. By setting the slider value to 30% you will therefore only retrieve the content from 30% of top-ranked news sources.
